The village has been repurposed to provide really comfortable cottages and country houses for travelers wanting to explore this beautiful region.
On top of being surrounded by many quality waves for all levels and tastes, Pedralva offers an array of activities. Take one of the 32 bikes and explore more than 300km of trails of mountain biking, enjoy great hiking, and even take diving courses. Pedralva is a Portuguese village located between the countryside and the sea, surrounded by nature. Located in the municipality of Vila do Bispo, Algarve, one of the warmest areas of Europe.
In the village of Pedralva once lived 100 people, but in the past 25 years, this fell to only 9 inhabitants. In 2006, the village was repurposed to become an eco-focused village escape with all of the cottages and accommodations having been lovingly restored to provide quality holiday accommodation in one of Europe’s most beautiful regions!

Waves at Aldeia Da Pedralva
The southwestern corner of the Iberian Peninsula offers a great variety of surf breaks and the warmest climate in Europe. The small, lively town of Sagres is well located to take advantage of the wide swell window of Cape St-Vincent, where the west and south coasts meet, creating a perfect corner for both beginners and experts to revel in the fun waves.
Average wintertime swells on the west coast are around 8-10ft, with 12-15ft maximum, whilst summer rarely goes flat and can get up to double overhead. In larger swells, the south coast offers perfect shelter with offshore winds. The Southern Coast is usually flat in summer but delivers great conditions in winter and the shoulder months.

Aldeia Da Pedralva offers 26 cottages and country houses, all being fully restored according to their original features.
All houses have all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay and have a fully equipped kitchenette, living room, and dining area. With either one, two, or three bedrooms, they can accommodate up to 8 people. Some houses have also a terrace and outdoor space. There is also one four-bedroom country house, ideal for bigger families looking for extra space.
The stay includes cleaning service, complete towel sets, hot stone heating, Wifi and more!
The Cuisine
The local restaurant “Sitio da Pedralva” is a mandatory gastronomic stop whilst in the Costa Vicentina. Here you can enjoy the traditional Portuguese cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. With a simplistic decoration where the white of the tables and walls is predominant, the details with strong contrasting colours are linked to the traditional decoration of the village.
Open all-year-round Sitio da Pedralva offers local specialties like the famous Codfish in bread Pedralva style and Lamb carré with sweet potato mash.
