Waves at AST Adventures Punta Roca

The Punta wraps around a rocky point and it is an intermediate and experienced surfers dream, offering hollow, long lines. If you’re a little less experienced or like mellow waves, the inside La Paz offers gentle and fun waves to accommodate every level of surfing. Dozens of more exotic breaks, like Sunzal, Mizata, K-59, El Zonte, can be explored with the surf guides.
Head high plus surf is consistent from March to November, and waist to shoulder high waves are prevalent in the off-season months.

The Rooms
AST Adventures Punta Roca offers 3 ocean suites, an executive suite with a private balcony, and 3 premium rooms.
All the rooms are oceanfront with views of the beach and the waves of Punta Roca. Each room is equipped with oversized pillows, soft beds, air conditioning, tiled bathrooms with hot and cold water, safes for valuables, daily room cleaning, Satellite TV, Sliders or windows facing the Playa, and all the relaxing comforts you’ll need after hours in the water.
The Cuisine
AST Surf Hotel counts two oceanfront restaurants, Tsunami Lounge and La Terraza. Tsunami Lounge offers freshly caught seafood, steaks, shellfish and Salvadorian-style ceviches. La Terraza is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal while watching the sun setting over Punta Roca.
While you’re in town it’s a must to visit a local Pupusaria. Pupusas are the staple of El Salvador: corn or rice masa hot off the grill, stuffed with cheese, and additional chorizo, pork and chicken.
