The Camp
Located on the South Western coast of Sri Lanka, Kabalana Beach House sits in an oceanfront position beside Kabalana Beach. Perfectly located between waves for all levels from beginner through to advanced surfers, the camp is perfect for those looking to improve their surfing! The camp is stylishly designed and very comfortable.
The camp offers 3 levels of weekly package with really high-quality surf training for all levels included. All packages come with surf photography included, so you get to leave with all the pictures of your waves! Perfect for groups, couples, and solo travelers looking to take their surfing to the next level!
Waves at Kabalana Beach House
Kabalana Beach House is located right in the middle of the wave-rich South Western coastline of Sri Lanka. In the prime surf season of November to April, the region is a beginner and intermediates dream with loads of waves suited for improving! For advanced surfers, there are some more challenging reef breaks.
The camp is located beside Kabalana Beach, perfect for those looking to improve over-sand. This is also home to The Rock, a steep a-frame breaking left and right. There is a range of fun reefs within a short drive such as Fishermans Reef, Lazy Left, Rams Right and more to be explored!

Accommodation
When staying at Kabalana Beach House, you will be accommodated in one of their recently renovated and well-designed en-suite rooms! WIth 2 x Double Rooms, 3 x Triple Rooms, and 2 x 4 person dorm rooms. All rooms come complete with AC to keep you cool at night, a private shower, and a toilet. The rooms all have bespoke furniture, a seating area, a mini-fridge, and a private balcony with sea views!
The camp also has a large dining area and a shared pool for all to use!
The Food
All surf camp packages come inclusive with 7 hearty breakfasts and 5 dinners served by the onsite restaurant. All food onsite is prepared by the onsite chefs and aims to offer a mix of Sri Lankan and Western food!
Sri Lanka is famous for its cuisine and you’re well placed to explore the many restaurants in the local area for lunch or eat at the onsite restaurant.
Activities
As part of your trip to Kabalana Beach House, all week-long packages include a half-day trip to one of Sri Lanka’s many cultural or nature sites!
Surf Photography
For all levels of surfer, there are surf photography sessions included in the weekly package, so you can take home shots of your best waves!
Getting There
Easily reached via bus or taxi from the international airport in Colombo. Transfers are available directly with the camp.
