Tiny Whale Surf Lodge

Set in the peaceful Algarve countryside, 10 minutes away from the vibrant town of Lagos, the lodge welcomes its guests with a hint of luxury. Tiny Whale offers Saturday to Saturday Surf Weeks for all levels and tastes.

The lodge has been designed with social spaces in mind: it has a large terraced garden home to an outdoor pool, jacuzzi, dining area with pizza oven, bar, lounge area with fire pit, yoga space, table tennis table, and surfboard/wetsuit area.

Great local food, wild nature, a rich ecosystem, and a welcoming traditional culture are just a plus to the good surfing of the area, making it a great destination for non-surfers alike!

The outstanding coastline of the Algarve is blessed with plenty of waves both on its West and South Coast, depending on swell and wind direction. Renowned for being one of the most swell consistent areas of Europe due to its geographical position, the surf is all-year-round, with the best waves to be found during the fall months.

The countryside of the Algarve is a gently undulating mesh of forests and small fields, leading down to an undeveloped coastline of high cliffs and long empty beaches scattered with rocks. A great variety of sandy bottom breaks and points roll at every corner and can get really epic when the right conditions line up.

Whether you’ve never surfed before or are already able to stand and turn the highly qualified surf coaches will teach you in small groups with an own personalized program!

All rooms at the Lodge come with everything you’ll need to be comfortable during your stay. They include fresh linen and towels along with well-thought-of finishing touches like cosy blankets and extra cushions for that extra homely feel.

Either choose the luxury of an en-suite room, a comfortable private room with a shared bathroom (with another room only), or the new luxury bell tents (with a private bathroom in the garden). All private rooms can be booked as single, double, twin. For single travelers there is also one female-only shared (max 2 guests) room and one mixed shared room (max 3 guests).

The delicious and locally sourced healthy food is freshly prepared by the in-house chef to give you all the energies needed during and after a day at the beach!

Every day starts with a healthy and nutritious breakfast to give you the energy to take on a day full of surf & yoga! The team of instructors seek the best waves on one of the many beautiful beaches in the Algarve, armed with a gourmet healthy picnic, with plenty of goodies! The in-chef prepares delicious and healthy 2-course meals for dinner, usually served with either a colourful cocktail or a regional glass of wine.

Unlimited coffee, tea, and water are included in the package. When you need to unwind, we also have an outdoor honesty bar with snacks, a selection of soft drinks and local wines and beers. The lodge can cater to all diets through prior arrangement.
