The Hotel
Westpoint Dahkla is an eco-friendly surf hotel in the Sahara Desert with 40 two-floor cottages facing the Atlantic Ocean and features a large swimming pool in the middle of the complex. Waves are just a two-minute walk from the hotel.
Westpoint Daklha has been developed with a construction method made of sandbags, avoiding the use of excessive concrete and which offers exceptional heat and noise isolation. The hotel is also equipped with solar panels.
Waves at Westpoint Dakhla
Dakhla peninsula is far from the crowds and is still not fully discovered. During the North Hemisphere winter, Dakhla can deliver world-class waves. The quality right-hand point break of Oum Lamboiur is located right in front of Westpoint Daklha and is one of the best surf spots in the area.
Dakhla region provides over 12 amazing surf spots in a 100km radius. And you will be mostly surfing alone!
The best months to surf in Dakhla are from September to May with an average of 3-5 ft swells. During the summer months, you can get winds with small waves with good conditions for beginners and kitesurfers.
Surfboards rental and Surf Lessons are available at Oum Lamboiur Water Sports Center at the hotel.

The Cottages
The 40 eco-friendly two-floor cottages feature a blend of nature, privacy, and comfort. Facing the Atlantic Ocean and located on the cliff edge where you can surf right on your doorstep, the cottages are perfect for families and groups and each of them can accommodate up to 4 people.
The cottages are equipped with a flat-screen TV, and private bathroom. On the ground floor, there is a queen size bed and 2 sofa beds on the mezzanine. Each cottage offers a private terrace and its own little garden.
The Cuisine
The spacious main restaurant caters for hotel guests on a full-board basis. The lush breakfast includes homemade bread, pastries, fruit, fresh orange juice and eggs. The lunch buffet offers a wide selection of delicious fresh local and western dishes. For dinner, you can also enjoy a selection of Moroccan dishes such as tagine, couscous and pastilla, depending on the day.
Ideally located on the oceanfront, the Westpoint Pescador Restaurant is open to the public and offers Mediterranean cuisine, a special fish menu and breathtaking sea views.
The hotel’s bar is the ideal place to spend the night in Dakhla with aperitifs, cocktails, live music, and more!
