The Resort
Jawa Jiwa is located in a remote and beautiful national park on the Indonesian island of Java. Here, the jungle runs right up to the edge of the reef with white sand beaches running as far as the eye can see.
With all the features you would want from a glamping experience, the camp has a dining area with Wifi and television, a games room with pool, and access to one of the world’s best waves, G Land! This is the perfect spot for solo surfers looking to challenge themselves, couples looking for a romantic getaway and familes wanting to experience Indonesian jungle and surf in comfort!
Waves at Jawa Jiwa
First discovered in the late 70s by wayward surfers from Bali, G-Land has become a mecca for surfers looking for powerful Indonesian tubes. The reef stretches for almost a kilometer with a few distinct sections breaking.
Kongs, breaks at the top of the reef and offers big walls and the occasional cover-up on the right swell. This picks up the most swell and almost always has a wave! Further down the reef is Money Trees, a quality left running for a few hundred meters in the right conditions with plenty of speed!
Once the swell starts to build, Launching Pads starts to break, which leads into the section G-land is famous for, Speedies. This unrelenting barrel offers some of the hollowest tubes in Indonesia and will test even the most expert tube rider! There are also other more beginner and intermediate-friendly waves in the area to keep all levels happy.

The Accommodation
Jawa Jiwa offers glamping tents that offer real comfort and class in the Indonesian jungle. Erected on a concrete base, these semi-permanent glamping tents are closer to a luxury resort room than what you would expect camping! Each room is fitted with a large and comfortable king-size bed, beautifully curated furniture, and everything you need for a comfortable trip.
The rooms all have well-sized ensuite bathrooms with hot and cold running water. All rooms are fully airconditioned for your comfort. The camp also offers more basic rooms for the budget traveler!
The Cuisine
Jawa Jiwa’s restaurant offers freshly cooked meals and snacks throughout the day. The camp has a constantly changing menu featuring both western and local Indonesian dishes. They cater for all tastes with meat, seafood, vegetarian and vegan options being available. If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know beforehand, so the camp can get supplies before your arrival!
There is a fully stocked bar, so you can enjoy a cold beer at sunset and a snack menu if you are feeling hungry at all between meals.
Activities
The main focus of most travelers to the camp is surfing the world class waves in the area, we suggest exploring the breaks further west for some fun rights and lefts. In the national park there are hikes, animals to spot, bird watching and other tours available!
Wildlife
Jawa Jiwa’s unique position within a national park means that there is wildlife everywhere! From monkeys running around the camp, to wild boar, deers roaming the beach, there have even been sightings of panthers in the park, This is a great spot all nature lovers!
Getting There
You can reach the resort by fast boat from Bali (approx 2 hours) or by taking a taxi and traveling overland (approx 8 hours). We can arrange either depending on your schedule and budget requirements.
