Kaimana

Built specifically for surf exploration, Kaimana is a spacious Indonesian charter vessel designed to comfortably accommodate groups travelling throughout the Mentawai and Telo regions. Measuring approximately 75 feet in length, the boat offers generous indoor and outdoor living spaces, providing plenty of room to relax between surf sessions.

The vessel features multiple air-conditioned cabins, a large indoor lounge and dining area, and expansive deck spaces where guests can check the surf, enjoy meals or simply unwind while cruising between islands. A dedicated speedboat and tender allow for quick access to nearby breaks and exploratory surf missions when conditions call for it!

Cruising across the Telos or the Mentawai Islands – widely regarded as one of the greatest surf destinations in the world – both are home to an extraordinary concentration of high-quality reef breaks. Travelling aboard Kaimana provides access to a huge variety of waves throughout the region, allowing itineraries to adapt to swell direction, wind and tides.

One of the greatest advantages of a charter is flexibility. Rather than being restricted to a single location, the crew can reposition the boat throughout the trip, helping you find the best possible surf each day – depending on the route and conditions, guests may surf iconic waves such as Hollow Trees (HT’s), Lance’s Left, Macaronis, and Rifles!

The peak Indonesian surf season typically runs from March through November, when consistent Indian Ocean swells light up the reefs across the region!

Accommodation aboard Kaimana is designed with comfort and practicality in mind. The vessel features five air-conditioned cabins configured for twin and triple-share occupancy, making it ideal for groups of friends or private charter bookings.

Inside, guests will find a spacious lounge and dining area, providing a comfortable retreat after long days in the water. The combination of indoor comfort and large outdoor deck spaces ensures there is always room to relax, whether reviewing photos from the day or watching the next swell approach.

The boat’s layout is designed specifically for surf travel, with ample surfboard storage and easy access to tenders for transfers to and from the lineup.

Meals aboard Kaimana are designed to keep surfers fuelled throughout the trip. Guests enjoy three freshly prepared meals each day, combining Indonesian flavours with international favourites. Fresh fruit, snacks, tea, coffee and soft drinks are also available throughout the journey.
