Heliski on the majestic Great Caucasus in Georgia!
Nestled amidst the crossroads of Europe and Asia, with borders touching the Middle East, the Great Caucasus offers guests towering mountain summits, expansive untamed landscapes, and endless stretches of untouched, powdery snow.
The area receives an average of 10 to 15 meters of cumulative snowfall per year, with dreamlike powder most likely to be found in January and February.
With its base being in Gudauri, Heliksir is specialized in small groups starting from 4 heli-skiers per group with 1 guide.
Mountains & Terrains
Located in the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus range at an altitude of 2,000 m above sea level, Gudauri has become the leading ski resort in Georgia boasting expansive snowfields, abundant snow cover, and plenty of sunshine. Heliskir’s heli-ski area borders Mt. Kazbegi (5,054 m) and spans several sub-ranges in Georgia. Covering an impressive 2,000 square km, this expansive heli-ski space features towering peaks, vast alpine bowls, and deep valleys. The diverse terrain offers a wide range of runs and steepness levels, accommodating everyone from first-time heli-skiers to expert freeriders.
Many of the landings, at the top of the runs, are above 3,000 meters, with the highest reaching up to 4,200 meters. When conditions in the high alpine are not suitable, Heliksir utilizes lower elevation areas that still offer excellent skiing and riding, with runs ending as low as 1,200 meters in the valley bottoms. Runs average 800 vertical meters.
