Mountains & Terrain

When it comes to ski touring, few places in the world offer as many possibilities as the Troll Peninsula in Northern Iceland. Nestled between Skagafjörður and Eyjafjörður, this vast and largely unexplored peninsula is renowned as the most spectacular ski touring area in Iceland. The skiing slopes here are truly unique, boasting panoramic views of breathtaking terrain awaiting their first descents. Be prepared for a variety of skiing conditions, from fresh powder to stable spring corn snow, ideal for steep and extreme descents.

The region features exposed lines that present thrilling challenges, with vertical drops of up to 1,500 meters (approximately 5,000 feet) in the stunning Arctic mountains.
During winter, you can ski into the evening, marveling at the majestic Northern Lights dancing across the sky. In spring, there’s nothing quite like gliding down slopes flanked by towering peaks, culminating in a ride that meets the shoreline of the North Atlantic.
