MV Addiction is one of the fastest and most stable surf charters in the islands, offering trips for 8 – 12 persons.
The Boat
MV Addiction is one of the fastest and most luxurious charters cruising in the Mentawais. his spacious and well-appointed catamaran can cruise fully laden with a speed of up to 18 knots.
Trips start from 8 persons with the charter comfortably being able to accommodate up to 12 persons. The charter has a good-sized indoor dining area leading to a large lounge and various chill-out spaces throughout.
All rooms are air conditioned for maximum comfort. The charter comes with 2 tenders so you will never be left waiting for waves!
The Surf
The Mentawais are like no other island chain in the world. With such a high concentration of world-class waves and incredible consistency, the area has been drawing travelling surfers since the 1980’s when the first pioneers discovered this treasure trove of perfection.
From perfect peeling points, to heavy slabbing barrels, high-performance air waves, and chilled longboard spots, the Mentawai Islands has something to offer everyone! The peak months of May – September offer regular larger surf, with the months on either side offering consistent perfection with lower crowds!

Accommodation
The accommodation onboard MV Addiction offers space for up to 12 persons (8 as standard across 5 cabins.
With a large 4-bed dorm room with 2 bunk beds, 3 standard double cabins (bunk with a double on the bottom and single on top), and a standard bunk room, all guests will sleep well after a long day in the surf! All rooms are spacious, with AC and plenty of storage space.
All meals are served in the large indoor or outdoor dining area. To the rear of the charter is storage for plenty of boards! End the day with a beer on the top deck overlooking a stunning Mentawai sunset!
Food
The crew behind MV Addiction knows that the food onboard is just as important as the waves you’re surfing. With 3 meals a day plus snacks, the team makes sure that you’re well-fed at all times with delicious and healthy food, that is freshly prepared.
The day starts with a large breakfast with eggs your way, cereals, fruits, and more. After a long morning session, you’ll be served a hearty lunch with snacks available in between if you are ever hungry.
Evening meals serve a range of Eastern and Western dishes, and if you catch any fish, the chefs onboard will gladly prepare these for you! Each trip sails with 20 cases of Bintang (beer) included.
