Sibon Baru is one of two charters run by an experienced surf charter operator, a 62-Foot Aluminum Powered Catamaran that is perfect for chasing waves in the surf rich area. Powered by Twin Hiunday Marine 260 HP main engines, the charter is well suited to cruising and the twin-hull is really stable.
Perfect for groups of up to 12 persons (single spaces available), the Sibon Baru has six large cabins with comfortable twin beds (no large dorm rooms here!) with all rooms being fully air-conditioned. Inside the indoor living area is a TV 50’LCD with loads of space to relax!
The Boat
Sibon Baru is a 62-Foot Aluminum Powered Catamaran powered by Twin Hiunday Marine 260 HP main engines. The twin hulls make the charter really stable when anchored, making for a really comfortable night’s sleep! Equipped for up to 12 persons, this charter is available for full charter and single spaces.
The Sibon Baru has six large cabins with comfortable twin beds (no large dorm rooms here!) with all rooms being fully air-conditioned. Inside the indoor living area is a TV 50′ LCD with loads of space to relax! A great charter option for friends or solo travelers.
The Surf
The Mentawais are like no other island chain in the world. With such a high concentration of world-class waves and incredible consistency, the area has been drawing traveling surfers since the 1980’s when the first pioneers discovered this treasure trove of perfection.
From perfect peeling points, to heavy slabbing barrels, high-performance air waves and chilled longboard spots, the Mentawai Islands has something to offer everyone! The peak months of May – September offer regular larger surf, with the months either side offering consistent perfect with lower crowds!
It is a right of passage for every surfer to experience Mentawai perfect at least once in their life!

Accommodation
Sibon Baru has 6 large cabins with bunk beds, these are all fitted with air conditioning and fans for your comfort. This is much more private than some of the charters with large dorm rooms! The dining area is well proportioned and can seat all guests for meals and has a 50 inch LCD Tv to chill and watch films after a long day in the water.
Sibon Baru has ample space on deck with bean bags to relax in. You’ll find a few areas to sit and relax and loads of space to store your boards and equipment!
Food
The crew onboard Sibon Baru know how important food is on a surf trip, they will always make sure that you’re fueled and ready for your next surf. Onboard you will receive breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all served in the dining area.
The package includes snacks and fruits as well as drinking water, isotonic, hot drinks, juices, soft drinks, and 24 beers per person! Beers are transferable between the crew for those who don’t drink. Let us know if you pan to drink a lot and extra alcohol can be arranged for cost price in Padang!
