Star Koat 2 is a large and luxurious charter running trips to the Banyaks and Mentawai Islands. This well-designed charter is one of the larger boats running in the area, giving you tons of space to relax whilst surfing perfect waves.

Designed with comfort in mind, all the cabins have been set up to have separate single beds! No hitting your head on bunk beds here! The common areas are equally well thought out, with a huge inside dining/chill area with a 42-inch flat-screen TV. This charter really offers much more space than a lot of similarly priced charters on the market, making it perfect for exploring the Islands in comfort!

The Boat

Star Koat 2 is a large and well-designed charter, offering loads of space for up to 12 guests. The charter has been tastefully decorated and uses the space available really well. The large indoor dining area is large enough for all guests to eat inside and is a great space to relax and watch a film after a long day of surfing!

The boat has multiple chillout spots on the upper decks, giving you loads of space to watch waves and sunsets! There is ample space for storing all boards. The charter comes with a quick little tender for reaching breaks fast!

The Surf

Star Koat 2 mainly runs trips in the remote Banyak Islands. These are found further North of the Mentawais and are rapidly becoming the go-to destination for surfers looking to escape the crowds of the Mentawais.

The Banyak Islands are renowned for having some of the most perfect surf in Indonesia and the Star Koat 2 is one of the premier charters running in the area. Generally, the waves in the Banyaks are a bit smaller than the Mentawais, making it a great area when the swell is larger. With expert surf guiding from Star Koat 2, you will always be in the spot to score the best waves! The charter can also run trips to the Mentawai Islands as well!

Accommodation

The Star Koat 2 can accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 cabins. Each cabin has 2 separate single beds (no bunk beds here!) and has plenty of space for all your luggage. Each room has electricity and enough outlets for all of your devices!

All meals are served in the large dining area, equipped with a large TV to watch the day’s waves back at dinner. End the day with a beer on the top deck overlooking a stunning Banyak sunset!

Food

The crew behind Star Koat 2 knows that the food onboard is just as important as the waves you’re surfing. They make sure that you’re well-fed at all times with delicious and healthy food, that is freshly prepared.

You’ll be served a large breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a variety of western and Indonesian dishes on offer. The kitchen will also have snacks available throughout the day so you’ve always got fuel in you for the next session!
