The Côte d’Argent, famous for its long stretch of sands, home to the renowned beach breaks of the Hossegor area, attracts surfers from all over the world and has been home of WSL surf competitions for years.
The Resort
70 Hectares is located in the heart of the forest and offers a real immersive experience in the middle of nature.
The ground floor spacious area includes the restaurant, lounge, bar, and seminar rooms. The resort’s large terraces are spread out around the pool and over the golf course. The rooms and suites on the upper floors feature large windows overlooking the pine trees.
Inside, the decoration is firmly graphic: marked lines, contradictions of curves and right angles, flat areas of pastel colours contrasted by furniture in strong colours. Objects are used to underline or counterbalance the rhythms to create a cheerful, playful setting.
70 Hectares is part of the Fontenille group with its sister property Les Hortensias du Lac in Hossegor.

Hossegor surf is the epicentre of the 230km coastline called the Côte d’Argent, the longest uninterrupted stretch of sandy beach in Europe. Hossegor is the land of the epic beach breaks: the exceptionally powerful, hollow, and perfect world-class waves have attracted the world’s best competitive surfers.
September to November is arguably the best time of year to surf in Hossegor. The water is warm from the summer, the waves are starting to pick up in size and the crowds are low. This is when the WSL Quik Pro France is held and there’s always a good vibe in town. From December to April you can expect big heavy barrels and powerful spring tides, suitable for advanced surfers looking to score! Families and total beginners will find plenty of fun waves from May to August: the summer months surf is more relaxed even if more crowded. The certified coaches of 70 Hectares…& l’Océan will pick you up at the hotel to make you discover the sensations of surfing and improve your skills!

70 Hectares… & l’Océan 32 rooms and suites are spread over the 3 floors of the building, most of them have a balcony or a large terrace. They all have large windows that open onto the natural environment with the ocean to the west, the golf course to the east and north, while to the south, on a clear day, the Pyrenees tower over the forest.
The strong shades of colour of the furniture are present everywhere and work together to create a light but contrasting world. On the walls, works by contemporary photographers stand next to lithographs by Supakitch created specifically for 70 Hectares.
The Cuisine
70 Hectares… & l’Océan offers a culinary experience in which local sourcing, respect for the seasons and constant renewal are the order of the day.
For lunch, simple menus with dishes that change daily are offered in an exceptional setting overlooking the golf course of Seignosse. In the evening, under the outdoor garlands of light, the wooden decks surrounding the pool are the perfect place to relax after a round of golf or a surfing session while discovering a fresh and gourmet seasonal cuisine made from the best regional products.
An outdoor rotisserie and plancha offer seafood and specialities from the Southwest.
Just off 70 Hectares is the Cabane des Estagnots: facing the Ocean, open from dawn to dusk and serving tapas, salads, planchas, wines and cocktails.
