Anantara Dhigu is a great family-friendly surf resort located just a 30-minute speedboat ride from the international airport. The resort comprises 110 luxurious and spacious beach villas and overwater suites for your enjoyment!
The resort boasts a unique overwater spa, expert surf school; providing both lessons and tailored guiding to the best waves, and a fully equipped water sports centre.
With a strong focus on entertaining their younger travelers, the resort offers an exciting range of indoor & outdoor activities. There is also access to facilities at the sister resort of Anantara Veli (for guests over 18 years or families with dinner reservations).
Waves at Anantara Dhigu
Anantara Dhigu offers you access to all of the great waves in the South Male Atoll. South Male is generally quieter than its neighbour, North Male. This makes it great for those seeking to escape the crowds and enjoy quieter surfs.
The resort has a left-hand reef breaking on its house reef for advanced surfers. You can reach this without boat access and is free to surf as much as you want. This spot is for advanced surfers only and best surfed with the on-site surf guides.
With the help of the expert onsite guiding, you can also surf Riptides (a fun intermediate-friendly right), Foxies (a great left-hander that offers barrels in the right conditions), Quarters (another good quality right), and others in the area!
Generally receiving smaller surf than North Male, Anantara Dhigu is great for all levels, with those looking for the biggest swells to travel May – September!
