Hudhuranfushi Surf Resort is a luxury surf resort located in North Male with exclusive access to one of the Maldives’ highest-quality waves, Lohi’s. Lohi’s is a pristine lefthander, breaking over a well-covered reef, offering everything from fast walls to cutback sections, and perfect barrels!

The Resort

Hudhuranfushi Surf Resort is located in the North Male Atoll, only a 20-minute boat ride from the international airport. The resort is situated on its own island, boasting white sand beaches and Lohi’s breaking along the house reef! This is one of the most consistent waves in the Maldives, limited to just 45 surfers.

Relax around the resort’s pool, take a stroll along the white sand beaches or sit on the deck overlooking Lohi’s and watch the waves roll in! Hudhuranfushi Surf Resort offers a range of land-based and overwater categories to suit all tastes and budgets.

All rooms are to a very high standard with most surfers opting for the Lohi’s Villas, sitting just a 30s walk from the wave!

Waves at Hudhuranfushi Surf Resort

Hudhuranfushi Surf Resort boasts private access to one of the highest-quality waves in the Maldives, Lohifushi. This ultra-consistent left-hand reef break is located on the reef fringing the resort and is a crowd-pleaser. Breaking in almost all swells, Lohi’s offers something for everyone. We recommend travelling in March/April and October/November for smaller, intermediate-friendly surf and in the peak season of May – September if you’re looking for larger surf!

Sitting in the prime surf area in North Male, included in the surf package are twice-daily boat trips to the other waves in the area. With the resort’s expert guiding, you can expect to surf Coke’s (epic right-hander), Chickens (classy left), Jailbreaks (intermediate-friendly right), Ninja’s (perfect for progressing!), Sultan’s (world-class right-hander), and Honky’s (classic left-hand reef).

The Bungalows and Villas

Hudhuranfushi Surf Resort offers a range of accommodation to fit all travelers. The entry-level Lohi’s Villas are well-sized and very comfortable. Offering direct access to the on-site wave, these are very popular with surfers! Located on the other side of the island, the Beach Villas offer more space and are beautifully designed. For Families, the resort has 1- and 2-bedroom Family Beach Villas, offering privacy and comfort.

Located on their own jetty, the Sunrise and Sunset Over Water Villas offer amazing sunrise and sunset views, your own private decking, and exclusive overwater accommodation! These really offer a special experience and are a favorite with couples and honeymooners!

The Lohis Garden Villas are located right in front of the surf break. Even though these rooms lack beach front view they are spacious and equipped with a variety of modern amenities.

The Beach Villas are located along the outline of the atoll with prime beach frontage. They offer convenient access to the beckoning sea and are within easy reach of the hotel facilities. The Villas are equipped with contemporary amenities and elegant furnishings and décor complimented by tropical themes.

The Cuisine

All surf bookings at Hudhuranfushi Surf Resort include the 24-Hour Premium All-Inclusive plan. Banyan Restaurant, the main restaurant, serves international buffets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with themed nights each evening, while the Indian Pavilion offers authentic North and South Indian cuisine.

Lohis Wave, overlooking the wave, serves breakfast and lunch exclusively for surfers, plus freshly baked pizza from 10am to 10pm. The Beach Grill serves burgers, wraps and fish and chips all day, and every guest can enjoy one dinner at the waterfront Sunset Restaurant during their stay. Unlimited drinks flow across four bars, from premium spirits and ice-cold beers to 40 cocktails, with the poolside Hiyala Bar open 24 hours. Daily snorkelling trips, a sunset or dolphin cruise, and a complimentary surfers massage complete the package.
