Popoyo sits in one of the most wave-rich regions of Nicaragua with waves to suit all levels, from beginner right up to pro surfers! Malibu Popoyo has 10 world-class waves within a 30-minute drive of the resort, meaning that there will always be a wave for the conditions!
Popoyo’s main wave is an A-frame peak with rippable left and right walls breaking over a rock shelf, breaking from 2 – 20ft. For the chargers, Popoyo’s Outer Reef can turn on in big swells, serving up heavy tubes for those skilled enough. Malibu Popoyo offers Garden, Loft and Master Rooms, The Garden Room offers a spacious room with a King size bed. Glass walls give you outstanding views into the semi-outdoor Moroccan style seating area with a rain shower and handmade unique concrete tiles.
The Loft Rooms have high ceilings and sliding windows face pure nature, allowing maximum light and connection to nature. Each unit has a unique semi-outdoor Moroccan style seating area with a rain shower and handmade concrete tiles. The loft can house up to four people, with both a king bed and a queen bed.
The Master Room is the largest room available at the resort. The semi-outdoor Moroccan style seating area offers a lavish walk-in rain shower and handmade unique tiles. The indoor living area completes the space with carefully chosen natural and local furnishings.
The Cuisine
Following on with the eco-friendly vibe that is integral to the resort, the onsite Cantina and Sunset Bar serves up lovingly prepared organic food, to fuel you after a long day of surfing.
