Blue Horizon 2 is an outstanding charter that operates in the remote Southern Atolls. With very few charters being based in this region, this is the least crowded region in the Maldives with really high-quality waves on offer.
Differing from the majority of charters in the Maldives, Blue Horizon 2 offers single spaces, perfect for solo travelers and small groups! The charter can also be booked as a private for larger groups.
The Boat
Blue Horizon 2 is a well-sized wooden-hulled yacht that can reach the remotest areas of the Maldives with ease. The charter is primarily based in the Southern Atolls for the surf season, giving travelers access to some of the quietest reefs in the Maldives
The charter has space for up to 12 persons, that can accommodate in 6 ensuite cabins, 4 with twin bunks, and 2 with a double and single bunk bed. All rooms have a private ensuite with shower and toilet.
With a large dining area at the front of the boat and a large sun deck on the roof, this charter has loads of space to relax!
The Surf
The Blue Horizon 2 is always located in the remote Southern Atolls for the surf season of February – November. As the region has very few surf camps, charters and resorts, you’ll find the quietest surf in the Maldives here!
There are waves for all levels and tastes in the area. Blue Bowls, a well-shaped right-hand reef, that holds most sizes and can deal with SW winds. Love Charms, a long left-hander, that can break for up to 200m on good day. Tiger Stripes, a beautiful left-hander that breaks quickly on a shallow reef with Antiques, an intermediate friendly right-hander that breaks across the channel.
There are more spots to be left un-named but trust us, you’ll love the waves here!

Accommodation
The Blue Horizon has a total of 6 ensuite cabins with 4 with twin bunk beds and 2 with a double and single bunk bed. All cabins have air conditioning for maximum comfort whilst sleeping.
The communal areas are on the top deck encompassing a bar and indoor dining area. All meals are taken towards the bow in the large, covered, outside eating area. There is a large covered roof terrace for chilling out, watching sunsets, and for storing boards!

Food
What sets apart the Blue Horizon from other charters in the area is the quality of the food served up on board. The Sri Lankan chef has been serving up delicious meals for years and knows exactly what hungry surfers are after!
With a range of local, western and world cuisines, you’ll be fed delicious food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The high quality of food and service has even won Blue Horizon 2 awards at the Maldivian Tourism Awards in the past years!
Alcohol is available onboard for an extra charge, so you can enjoy a cold beer at the end of a long day in the water!
