The Resort
Located in the South Pacific, in the waters of Melanesia, in the Cakaudrove province of Fiji, COMO Laucala Island features 25 Residences in a unique, Eden-like location. Situated on beaches, above lagoons, in the jungle, or perched on clifftops, the accommodation is thoughtfully designed. All guests are assigned a โTauโ (Fijian for friend) to assist with your stay.
For holistic wellness of body and mind, there is a COMO Shambhala Retreat to enjoy therapies and treatments made with ingredients from the Spa Garden.
The resort features an 18-hole David McLay Kidd-designed golf course, a lap and lagoon swimming pool, a fully equipped gym, two tennis courts, a Kids Club, and more!
Waves at COMO Laucala Island
Laucala Island is home to some of the best breaks in Fiji and the resort has boat access to quality uncrowded waves!
Surfing is possible year-round with two distinct surf seasons. The Southern Hemisphere summer provides calm and glassy conditions and consistent long-period swells, while the winter season sees big swells and southeasterly winds, with conditions more suitable to advanced surfers. Located a short boat ride from the resort (15 to 45 minutes depending on the tides) there are world-class left and righthand waves for all tastes and levels. Maqai is the most famous wave of the area, a long right-hander that breaks through all tides and holds any swell.
During the surf trips, the expert surf guides can bring a rescue sled and jet ski along too, so you can catch as many waves as you like! This is an excellent destination for children and beginners to learn to surf with the expert onsite surf team.

The Plantation Residences are located on their own stretches of white-sand beach, with spacious, open-plan living areas and spectacular sea views. The Seagrass Residences are nestled in lush vegetation, with wood and rock finishes that connect the interior spaces to the bay coastline they overlook. The Plateau Residences sit on a hilltop ridge, the tropical architecture blurring the boundary between the homes and the thriving greenery. The Wai Residence is an overwater villa that floats above an emerald lagoon with a private pool carved into the rock. The Udu Residence is surrounded by green hills and turquoise ocean on its rocky perch, with access to a private beach set within a cove.
