Villa Madu Mentawai

Villa Madu is a beachfront villa built for both surf and solitude. Located in the village of Katiet on Sipora, the property sits directly beside white sand and swaying palms, just moments from legendary breaks like Lances Right and Hollow Trees.

This three-bedroom villa is designed around open, tropical living and ocean views. Inside you’ll find spacious living areas, air-conditioned bedrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen, while outside there’s a private pool, sun terrace and direct beach access. The villa’s layout encourages flow between indoor comfort and outdoor chill – perfect for sharing meals with friends, lounging in the shade, or watching the swell roll in.

Villa Madu has access to some of the best waves in the Mentawais. Right out front is Hollow Tree’s (Lance’s Right), a picture-perfect right-hander that serves up some of the best tubes in the region. Watch out for the ‘Surgeon’s Table’ at the end, a shallow reef platform that catches out those who don’t exit early enough! Around the corner, you have Lance’s Left, a long, consistent left-hander working in opposite winds to HT’s.

Cobras is an A-frame peak breaking nearby to Lance’s Left, offering good left-hand barrels. Nearby is Bintangs, a shallow-dredging right-hander that on medium swells offers short right barrels and is playful in smaller swells. For lower-level surfers, there is the only beach break in the Mentawai Islands nearby. All these waves are reachable by motorbike.

Villa Madu’s three bedrooms (each with a private bathroom) are designed for comfort after surf sessions. All rooms are air-conditioned and open onto private terraces or sea views, with furnishings that promote restful sleep and easy living.

The master suite features its own en-suite and direct ocean views, while the other bedrooms offer flexible bedding to suit couples or small groups.
